LHD to RHD

Was thinking of buying a vert from the US that is LHD, and was wondering how hard it is to convert it to RHD.

it will be a super beetle vert and if i can will try and get a rack and pinion setup

Not a big job.... [well - it would be for Me..]

but do-able ...
I have seen pics somewhere of it being done...

Nothing is impossible....
Just a darn site harder...

You shouldn't have any problems apart from changing the dash from Left to Right...

or You can drive it LHD....

If the car is older than 30 years you can register and drive it here as LHD.

Otherwise you would need a RHD wreck from here as a donor for the dash etc....

In the Haynes Restoration Manual For Beetle and Transporter there is a how to with pics. Looks like bit of welding and such.

I can scan the pages and post or email them to you, if you want?
