Adjusting front torsion bars - quick question
Guys... its years since I've played with the front suspension on a Type 1
IIRC my front suspension was set up by Hellbug - with a Whiteline sway bar and gas shocks. VVD had reconditioned the torsion bars and fitted
adjusters.
My son has now pinched the suspension out of my car and whacked it in his floorpan. For some reason, the nose is pointing to the sky. The caster
adjusters are in.. behind the bottom bar... and everything seems OK.
I seem to recall that there was a trick or two to adjusting these things - so that the bars weren't fighting each other.
Are there any tricks?
I can't recall the brand of adjusters, unfortunately - whatever VVDS were using when given a free hand back in the mid 90's..

Its a ball joint, disk brake front end.
I used to like the handling of it when I drove the oval... very flat, a bit tough on the kidneys, but a lot of fun.

is that the white line fully adjustable front say bar
If so i think there too tough for a torsion bar
try a stock or Kmac one that fit to the contour of the bar much nicer

Birch your being a girl again. I've driven and sold heaps of whiteline and reckon they're fine, they are adjustable you know.

Its looking a bit better on its feet now. Had to do the rear torsion bars too (they were too low).
