Aftermarket Shifters

I'm looking at changing to an aftermarket shifter. The Empi T-handle is what I am looking at. My question is should I go the standard or short length model? Will the short model sit too low and be a pain to use?

I've got a second hand empi with the pull up ring for reverse and it's a bit shorter. If I were buying A new one I'd get the standard length.

Cheers Dirtbag, that's what I thought the best idea would be. I figured the short one would sit down between the seats.
