auto notch

found a relatively rust free 70 auto notch running gear missing like gearbox, engine & wheels.all the rest there.
Do i try and put an auto back in if i can find one or go the manual gearbox and running gear which would be easier to source?
Any info would be helpful thanks rob

I have heard that the Type3 auto box is quite solid if treated right. My opinion would be to stick to auto, BUT you would probably be able to find the manual parts easier. Not sure how correct it is but have heard that auto box front mounts are made of unobtainium
