Buyer beware


Hi. Forgive me if there is already a thread like this.

Thought i'd start a thread on things to look out for when buying a type three. There are heaps of rust points but here's my tip for buying a Squareback

always check here!!!!!! this was the clincher when deciding to part it out or not (wrecking brown 1970 square btw)

Yeah strange spot for rust. Probably a few dubbers having a look now. I know i had some surface rust there in my old 68 Fastback.

I'll post pics of the wagon in another thread soon and i dont want to get side tracked here. PM if interested for now.

looks like a slow water leak to me like a 25 year one got under the top cover stayed wet
