How much paint is needed for a VW pan

Hi

I'm just finishing off my pan in the next few days and I'm going to paint it with White Knight rust guard epoxy enamel.

It comes in 500 ml, 1 litre, 4 litre size packs, would 4 litres be too much or 1 litre too little?

Yeah, 4 liters would be WAY more than you need Steve.

I'm doing my car trailer with it at the moment... so far everything has had 1 decent coat, and the mudguards and side rails have had two coats, with a bit over a quarter of the 4 liter can used... so I'd say 1.5 liters max to do a thorough job on a pan.

I only used 1 litre, but that was POR15 and put on with a brush, had a little left over(only one coat)

Hi

I just priced the paint, 1 litre is $30, 4 litres is $79. I'm going to to use satin black, it looks more natural than gloss or matt.

I think I will buy the 4 litre pack and then I can do my son David's pan as well.
