64 Standard Adelaide
Hey thought id say hi, started working on the missus vw beetle we got for a bargain. Bit of surface rust but two weekends later is starting to look
the part.
Basically just been bringing it back and priming to prevent spread!
Anyway thought id say hi, im on a few other forums as i own a soarer 1j auto and a supra 2j manual (my pride and joy).
My brother has a gc8 rexy and loves the old boxer engine.
Was wondering where i could find a list of websites for part? ive noticed their seems to be heaps available at a good price but hit me up with some
sites!
Cheers, Layton.

good thing to buy VW magazine australia from a newsagents to get a full idea of all suppliers around.
you can alwways go the rat look and just rub lanolin oil or ankor wax into the patina to stop it spreading........stick a rexy motor in it!!

As far as local places go, Imparts on South Rd at Mile End, VSY on South Rd Edwardstown area, and Volkstorque may be able to help.
Then there's workshops with a stash of old parts like Volksfactory at Holden Hill and Cartek (the old Veedub Centre) at Melrose Pk (but not too sure
how much Cartek would have these days). Another good workshop for service rather than parts is GHR Motors Daws Rd Mitchell Pk.
No web address to hand, but best give them a call (they'd be in the Yellow Pages). Imparts does have a website though http://www.imparts.com.au/ 1300 467 278
Best of luck with the bug

Nice car man! Good luck with it. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun working on the mighty VWs.
Volksfactory and GHR are my favourite places to buy parts.
Volksfactory is pretty much the only place in SA which still wrecks VWs and keeps a very good stock of used parts at reasonable prices. They also do
new parts and know what they're doing in the workshop.
GHR is mostly a workshop, but they do stock a lot of their own parts because nobody supplies them to the trade any more, and they will sell them to
you retail for a good price. I find that they have most things which you need. Call either of them on the phone to find out if they have what you
need.
