Just bought some 2k paint - any tips?

Hi Guys i'm fairly comfortable with spray painting and believe i can get a consistent and reasonable finish with ennamel based paints as long as it is mixed right...

Any tips for mixing or paint with 2k paint? painting the pan and suspension etc... not too fussy but want a nice looking job.

Ive got some etch primer too what prep do i ned to do if i am not going back to bare metal? just scuff then etch prime?????

Cheers

need to go back to clean bare metal, no rusty or corroded stuff...get them sandblasted if you want a really good job that will last.
where you don't go back to bare metal, ie good base you degrease, sand smooth then wax and grease remover again, primer paint.
usually etch primer is for bare metal... can use one pack primer surfacer or 2 pack primer on other surfaces.
get some general purpose thinner for cleaning gun etc so you don't waste exp. thinner.
could write a novel on spray painting.
take your time don't hurry, no runs
