Hi Has anyone had trouble fitting a alternotor to a 1600 motor. I cannot fit the carby. The linkages for the accellator pump hit the alternator.

Can any one help

Thats correct
There are 2 different set ups

I have seen people grind away sections of the alternator

Pretty sure you can flip the linkage around???

Otherwise you need a different carb

I just took a grinder too it. few minutes and problem solved. The side of the alternator has some pretty thick flesh, its hard to go all the way through it.

Unfortunatley the alternator ones are different, I used to have a comparison shot.

Easiest fix that I've done myself a few times is bend the linkage across and shave a tiny bit off the alternator.
