not the best of days still sorting the new engine pleanty of carnage on the day 1st heat ss comodore into the wall at the new section at turn 9 on the warm up lap man it was slippery out there 5 major accidents on the day.CAUTION i spun a big end bearing on the 2180 on lap lap 1 of my heat used mahle bearings packaged in yellow and white box[do not use these bearings as they are total crap] have used mahle product for last 10 years with no probs at all, but this stuff is shit in a quality box.Any way other wise it was a good day, rang John laddimatos who was just coming of night shift and asked him if he'd bring his freshly completed but untested L bug race car so we could do some r&d on it as my car was broken.John arrived at about 10am got car scruiteneered no probs fitted some numbers and timing transponder.Car is as fresh as new r spec yokos asked John if there were any instructions just go for it.Took it easy for thefirst 2 lapsto cycle new tyres and just get the feel of the chasis and set up car felt quite good very predictable and consistent ,firstevent forthe car did a best of 1m59 the smile on Johns face told it all,car was running a bit fat so changed the mais to135s yahoo next heat times came down again car ended up runing a1m58 dident miss a beat,ended up running 5th in class 4d sport sedans,many thanks to John Lad Brian Walker and John Molenor running 3rd in class after scraping in with 6points just have to sort out the engine in the sports sedan then we can put some pressure on the leading v8 x ambrose ford au 13b turbo alpha sud and2oosxs Cheers Rudi

Hi Rudi

Bad luck, I always use Karl Schmidt bearings, I've never had an issue.

Good to hear that Johns bug had its baptism.

Holly molly, that is more than most WRX powered VW put out Rudi and I think your car still has a basic VW cased engine (opens a can of worms).

Well bloody done :tu:

Kev :lol::lol::lol:

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!
