T3 Syncro Shockys & Springs, Lift Kit, Rims etc. ????

Hey guys

I know that there are many oversea suppliers. I want to lift my syncro the cheaper way.

If anybody got some good leftovers for sale please get in contact with me.

I am searching used lift springs, lift plates, offroad springs for the T3 Syncro 14"!

Also i am after fitting 15" Steel Rims with 5/112 MErcedes for example.

Would be great to get some quotes or even contacts for new shocky Sets or anything.

Thank you very much

I am from Alice Springs, living Outbush, whoever comes buy should contact me and stay a couple of days at my outbackstore ;-)

Cheers

Seb

ok, cheap?? fit 2WD springs on the front, and get a machine shop to make 30mm spacers to fit on top of the rear springs, your 15" rims will fit a treat, but the back of the fromt arches will still need a trim!
cheers jon

ps i'll take you up on the offer of a rest stop!

I guess they are original Syncro, 6Jx14?? with good LT Tyres on it. I have a second nice 2WD Campervan T3. Can i swap the springs. The syncros in there and the 2WD in the Syncro?

Cheers

The 2wd springs are to soft, good height though.
Is your Syncro a camper or tin top.
From my research the Gowesty or Smallcar springs are to hard for a tin top.
Syncro services make a front spacer,I dont know anyone in Australia who uses them though.
Greg on the Syncro forum(Australia) just had some made up same height as the 2wd,but stiffer.
That looks the go.
You cannot go any more than 50mm or you will wreck your CVs and need to go Porshe(expensive)
You can raise the rear by making some spacers out of a chopping block(plastic).
Getting some made is what I intend to do,just run out of time this year.

Just saw this post as I have been away camping. I have raised my '82 T3 to the height of a syncro. I did this by using syncro rear springs and Falcon (XW?) springs in the front. Been like that for about four years and 150,000 kms. The main issue I have had is torn boots because of the angle of the drive shafts. I think this has been cured with the mod suggested in the off-road section. i.e. modded boots to take Toyota rubbers.

Just had a look at thr rubbers which are aftermarket stretch boots and they are torn. :( I will try Toyota ones and let you know. I have also commented on the off road thread at:
