Recommended insurer for modded beetle

I'm considering dropped spindles and 2" narrowed beam for my 1970 beetle.

Assuming I can get the mods blue plated, can anyone recommend a decent car insurer that will cover me for this?

Or am I simply expecting too much?

What they said x2

I rang everyone about my Baja. Shannons are the only one who even wanted to entertain the idea!

As stated. Make sure u tell about every mod. IN DETAIL. When they send you the copy of the policy make sure everything is listed correctly.

Shannons. All our cars are with them and they're the only company I've ever had dealings with that don't just take your money and then fight tooth and nail to keep it by not paying out when the time comes.

What state are you in?
Getting an engineers certificate is the first step.

You may have problems with the dropped spindles. I dont believe that they get engineering approval easily.

I thought dropped spindles were better than adjusters fitted to the front suspension..??

Shannons. However all your mods need to be legal in your State. If you can't get the narrowed beam and dropped spindles approved by an engineer, a compromise might be Avis adjusters as they don't involve cutting through the whole front beam so will likely be approved easier.
Cheers..Wayne
