[FS - NSW] 1971 Superbeetl SOLD

Unfortunatly I have to sell my '71 1302 beetle due to a change in circumstances. I bought this a few years back from an old lady who I believe was the original owner and has spent most of its life in the country so is an extremely honest and rust free car. The car has never been restored and has mostly original paintwork which is a bit scruffy, however all mechanicals etc have been changed over the last couple of years. The car would suit someone who wanted a good base to give the bodywork a freshen up or leave as is, which is a bit ratty but extremely solid.

Interior - Mostly original with Nardi Leather steering wheel, german CSP shifter, Front seats replaced with buckets from some jap car but originals are supplied. Original working AM radio etc. New front belts.

Suspension - Front - Topline Coilovers, all bushes replaced with urethane, tie rod flip to kit, eccentric camber adjusters, bugpack front sway bar.
Rear - 26mm torsion bars, urethane bushings, height adjustable spring plates, kyb shocks. 3/4 inch sway bar supplied but not currently fitted.

Brakes all machined with new pads/shoes. converted to porsche stud pattern.

Engine - rebuilt at about 82000 miles (86000 now). New pistons and barrels, New Cyinder heads (not reco) New oil pump with external filter. All new bearings etc etc.
Vintage speed Stainless 38mm exhaust system. Heads have been very lightly ported (more of a clean up) and run 1.4 ratio rockers on a stock camshaft.

Fuel Injection system - Car has been converted to programmable EFI, Megasquirt 2 computer, German plenum and throttle body, CB performance end castings, KN air filter, Innovate LM1 sideband o2 sensor. Pierburg lift pump and bosch 070 pump with efi hardware swirl pot. Should support 300hp or more.
EDIS distributorless ignition system.

Gearbox - rebuilt by shimo, 4.125 with a .82 kombi top gear. Welded 3rd and 4th. Only done about 2000 miles.

Porsche Boxster wheels with excellent tyres.

NSW rego until 4 oct 2012.

Thats all I can think of right now, I'll add anything else I think of later.

$8200ono

Sorry to hear that you have to sell.

This is a lovely car, and well worth the money for the setup.

Good luck with the sale.

Trust me if I could store it I would, I'll be losing a lot of money here...
If anyone wants to view I'll be out with it at the vw drags on the 25th, spectating only :(
