Greetings

Hi all.
Have been reading your forum for a while, thought i better say something ! . Great Forum people, im in my fifties (man that sounds old) and have had different VW's all my life .. currently have a 63' Beetle that needs some work (purchased as my daughters first car 16 years ago- someone ran her off the road and it has stuffed the front end etc) and am contemplating whether i do it or just buy one already done up .. starting to lean towards the buy option as i am time poor - work long hours and am currently restoring 3 old falcons. Into Hot Rods as well and have been to Valla with the GT Falcon club and also with the Dragens Hot Rod club. Wife and i went to the VW Nationals at Fairfield and the quality of cars blew me away.
Enough of my ramblings .. Cheers .. Windsor (Steve B.)

Thanks and yes Vdubs are great to drive.. have owned a few different VW's from a 60's Kombi through to a 71 Superbug (with powertune fibreglass guards, whale tail and 1835 engine etc ). Love 60's beetles - really great and cool to drive .. i have been in the NSW GT club since it started so i would probably know your in-laws if they have been in the GT movement for a while ... i have a few GT's including a PHS 3 ... i got mine before the prices went crazy.
Wife wants me to do a new Kitchen and some other house renovations soon and once that is done i will probably join one of the Sydney based VW clubs ... will be looking to this forum for some guidance as to best club to join - hopefully i can ask a question like that without starting any forum conflict
Cheers Steve B.
