Still waiting on the Video,
but I can wait,
since Pete is flat-out trying to get his car ready for Portland.

Here is something for him:

I had a good result last night.

A new PB of 11.00@121.46.

And I won All Motor at the Mini-Jam with the car intact.

Only change from last year was the spool,
and some fine tuning.

After the first two qualifyers,
I opened the "High-Speed" less than 1/8 turn on the adjuster, to reduce the pressure that it opens by 1 to 2 psi.
This is to try and level off the fuel pressure once peak power is acheived.

I also lifted the launch RPM from previous by 200 to 7500
and the top limit to 8400.

Engine felt great.

11.257 @ 120.06 off the trailer (personal best was 11.251 @ 119.9)
11.302 @ 118.51 same set up and felt fast, perhaps a slight bog once the clutch locke up but that is what the time card says!
11.006 @ 121.46 YAY!

Eliminations:
11.057 @ 121.20
11.080 @ 119.71 (hit the limiter a bit to hard in 3rd)
11.477 @ 119.46 ( got out of shape off the line but recovered for the win) Wheely bars neded adjusting.
11.226 @ 120.38 (clutch slid a bit off the line and hit the limiter a few times)

Sixty foot times for the day:

1.529
1.551
1.510 (nearly as good as 1.505 PB)
1.553
1.528
1.632(nearly hit the tree!!)
1.589 (slid the clutch)

Best 1/8 mile was 6.980 & 97.74

Car weighed 1768 lbs (803kg)

Engine power equates to 247 with the best speed of 121.46 mph.

This should be around 217 to 230 at the wheels depending on which universe to come from.

This pic says it all......Winners are Grinners

This was taken as he drove back from the winning run.
Daves car ran flawlessly all day, except for a minir glitch when the decklid departed from the car during a run.
Thank god for zippy ties.

I think only one run, when dave thought he'd change lanes but luckily decided to stick with his own at the last minute, was under his previous PB. He had to get off it, but still managed an 11.47 @ 119mph and beat the RX7 after chasing him down.

Well done Dave - congratulations on the win! Does that mean you have some more food money this week or just bragging rights?

Also great news on consistently improving - I guess that detailed diary you keep with every change you make to the car pays off to keep improving.

Actually I had a look on the SCG web site and prize money is:
"to be announced"

So I am not going to rely on it for food since they have halved the series win-money this year.

I've got gallons of things to try yet.
Only down side is the licence to run 10s.
For one year it costs $341.(instead of $149)

I did my maintenence yesterday and all is sweet.
I would like to get to a dyno and see where the power peak RPM is now the fuel system is right.
