Looks awesome, Nick. Can't wait to see the new turbo & intercooler layout :tu:

Not to start the rumour mill going or anything, but I can't of been the only one to notice...

Hey Michael,

When were you thinking of going for a pass?
I am doing more R&D with my thing so I am about a month or so off.
The test mule 1835 is going in for a dyno session or five and if it survives I might run it for a laugh.

Nick
Iam easy mate, I haven't done much to the car since Portland except a bit of lightening. Test&Tunes are on 10th and 24th of May and the 7th and 21st of June but I'm dying to have a run on the 1/4 mile. I might head up on the 10th so let me know if you want to go, that goes for all other interested punters you are welcome to join me as Heathcote is a great place to race and they love the volkies

No good for me MC,
best was an 11.2 @124 mph
I popped it out of 1st gear just after a 1.57 60ft and them put it into second slowly pulling through the gear building up speed again. I'm not sure why I pulled on the stick just shit driving I think......
The turbo feed line burst in the top end spraying oil on the header system crating a cool smoke cloud.

New Tank

Seeing as Mark's car has run a 10 with more in it, it's time to pull my finger out and step it up a notch.
I will finally switching to blow through that I have been talking about for a while. The set up will be all new for Warwick so should be fun to test out on the 1/8th first.

This is the new tank before I weld it together.

Nick
those bends are cool, what thickness aluminium are you using?. I am building an air box for the carbies at the moment, I am using 1.6mm sheet, do you think it will weld ok?. How did you cut out the holes? forgive all the question. MC

Hey MC,
I give Mark cardboard templates and get the good stuff back. A million dollar machine punches it all out perfectly. Pretty awesome to watch.
It is all done in 3mm because anything thinner is hard to weld.

Holy crap Nick..... This thing is nuts!!!.... Interesting placement of the injectors..... And do you think you have enough of them? ;) Looooonnnngggg runners too.... How do you think this will effect response?.... And what the hell is that TB off?.... And is that another squirter on top of the centre piece?.... And you said an intercooler was going into the mix this time too.... That box you built is the meth tank right?.... Or am I missing something? And, and, and......

Dyno

Thanks guys!

Dynoed the new package today and all is ok for Warwick. The engine sounds good but with a few dyno issues we are not happy with the power. Should be cool for next week though. A few more things to go to finalise it before we cruise on up.

back to it.
