I think Vintage did one like that last year at portland from too much clutch.
Weddle Albins?)sell a 300M one now, that also is designed to twist a little.
Bear swears by them.

The other thing worth a look, is that many input shafts have some damage at that point of failure.
Usually from a past where the TO bearing shat one time.

Car sounded awesome n the vids dude!

Yeah, I spoke to Dave B after that last year asking him what clutch they had because they broke 2 bus boxes. I told him to speak to you and I think they have sorted it now?
I spoke to Ross F and Rod P and they were both puzzled.
I think it is a case of pre existing damage or just bad luck. I have used this one for years now and never broken one.
BUT the thing that amazes me is that I need more clutch because it was flaring with all the extra torque.
I will upload a inboard vid soon so you can hear it.
Dave I have lost your new e-mail address, send me one.

After reading the whole thread it was good to see your a hardcore racer from way back . I remember reading about your car in fast fours and making it in the top 20 fastest street 4's . Now thats quite an achievement !!

Im curious about your injection set up :
Why did you go with the single 1700cc injector set up ?
Why not go down the traditional quad injector set up ? Or even duals . I would have thought the atomisation at lower rpm levels wouldnt be too good .
Are you running wideband or narrowband ?
Do you have the turbo specs ?
Do you measure the Intake air temps ?

Pity you broke at Portland , your passes looked seriously quick when you ran . And your not afraid to burn some rubber

Slipping the chutch most of the track, and braking the input on another. Must have been its time.

(Good work):D Back when i had 354kw (475hp) 2002-2006, big skids, lots of runs, still never broken one.

Just bung another one in!!! How many could 1 person brake in a life time?

Hey Col ,

I have a turbo style kit, one fogger and a set of solenoids, one line, bottle and brackets. You will need foggers and the lines that run from the solenoids to the foggers. If you run a decent hit you will need another set of solenoids.
What's the tee? XL for me

Hey Westi,

She is fat alright, I have been thinking of giving it the abbo treatment. The only problem then is where do you stop?
But I'm still loving Pete's package with Rod's engine. Nice and light and fast!! and the engine came out in 10 mins?
I have been thinking.................
maybe a new car, super light?????

It was cool catching up and hearing the goss.
Have you checked out Mike Moran's pass?

click on the video link but watch any VW vids first because after you see this what we do will look VERY LAME !!
