even in such a small community of vw racers there is bullshit that gets thrown around. there is no law on havn to tell everyone wenyou are just testing or checking stuff.
generally most vw racers only race a few times a year and never seem to go too far.
good luck to you all.
grow up.

I will stand up !!

The only people making this post bullshit are you guys , complaning again .

Mike read my post again and think about it ! You have a world around you thats says , no one can post any information or thing about your , racing on here .

My post supports what you guys are doing (look at my quotes ), it just a shame that anytime anyone comments on here about when you guys go racing , we get punched up around the ears . (it a free forum and its about vw drag racing and we can talk vw drag racing , about anything from around the world )

Your friends on here are all ways throwing shit about , which some times go for many pages .

So Brenndens comment about Secret Squirrel joke was just playing the game that others have been playing at and slinging crap on here for ages .

So you entered a race meeting and went down the track , thats called drag racing . It happens that you race a volkswagen drag car and thats what we are all doing on here at different levels .

Some people are just supporters or crew guys to but they have a right to post on a forum as well .

So this brings people asking how you or others went !! at a event .

More people are behide you , then you think .

Peter Page . I will talk about vw's , vw drag racing , vw drag racers , drag racing events and everything in general about drag racing on here .

Thanks too, for the people that have stepped up and supported me about this .

Wow, been missing this thread. I thought secret squrrel business was just a joke and not directed at anyone in particular, hey Dave...oops ;)

I say thanks to all who get to the track. It's hard work just getting there.

Go Pete, I agree intirely. It's a forum about VW's. That's what we do. :)

Wow, been watching this for while, and I got say what a crock.

Its my understanding that its expected of you that if you go out to a meet that you must get on this forum and start letting people know how you went. What happened to the days before the forum when you heard someone went out for a skid, you gave them a call to find out how they went, its much more personal and the info is more accurate.

Some people do it and talk about it, and some people just do it.

That's what I was alluding to.

When we have a TnT or event in Qld more often than not it’s posted on AVD or word gets around. Usually you find your results posted before you get home. Welcome to social media. Personally, I don't have a problem with that....good result or bad and I've had some bad ones.

Yeah Matt 'secret squirrel' was a banter and a joke not about you mike although you seem to think it was about you. It was a dig at westi,Stocko and I think burchell and stoker were in the conversation at the time. If you took offense to these 2 words and it upsets you then I'm deeply apologetic.

I know the context in which I posted it and again it wasn't directed at anyone in particular. Just asking if anyone went out and looked on to see how those who ran went.

Results good and bad are their to share. If you choose not to that is your choice. I know if Troy didn't share results some good and quite a few bad during the development of his turbo set up in his type 3 we could still be chasing our tails or spent a hell of a lot of money paying someone for a simple fix. The help that was shared on here was worth its weight in gold as not all here are experts and gurus in every minute aspect of vw's. Race results/times etc can be seen in the same way. They may help someone decide on a particular engine combo or what size tyre to run with a particular set up.

Congrats mike on the 9 sec pass!! Only going to get quicker from here!! Good to see the car showing its potential and looking forward to see it run at Warwick.

I think you'll find Mike didn't take the secret squirrel in offence at all, more likely the fact people expect, and then get anoyed because he didn't post any info on his testing, thats his choice, maybe the guy couldn't be bothered sitting in front of a computer and do the social media thing, just have a look at how many posts he's made.

Oh and hay Pete when you say "SO SAD , that no one can stand up and let other racers know" thats the kind of coment thats created this whole load of crap.

If your so keen to find out whether he's gone to a turbo or not, or what results have been made from a days testing, then call the guy (02) 47229313.

Until then don't carry on like a wanker.

A wanker is fine , with me .

But you and others are missing the point . ANYONE !!! can comment on how a race day went or post pic's . There were many people there , not just Mike's crew . They could of commented on here or else where . That is what is SO Sad after people askesd .

No one ask for his bank details or ect personal matters .
I coundn't give a fuzz if the racer doesn't get on here , its a free world .

So don't tell other people what they can and can't post about .

can someone please change the post to,can of worms.

i love a good debate.shit sling/winge and a wine.

and in the yellow corner we have.hahahahahaahah.and in the blue.dark blue orange and yellow corner we have.funny shit.
i must say chris you have slinged your fair of shit(permatex),as too have many others.who fuckin cares.get over it.
it all started cause people love to know whats goin on,if people didn't care what whats going on,there would be no forum.

one off my customers was disapointed on the weekend too,he ran 7.1 at 196mph,he was spewing that he didn't crack 200.
he wasn't happy, but word got out and shit was slung,he even lost a bet.but he will come back out and race again with even more passion than before.

thats what drives us to get faster, disapointment.it's amazing how some people take it better than others.
never being happy with a time slip or mile per hour is normal, so is trying to be faster.thats the name of the game isn't it.

:kiss::kiss:

I think that this is all blown way out of proportion

I realise that there is no sarcasm font, no friendly stirring font, and no shit slinging font ... so maybe it is hard for people to know which is which some days.
However, I would have thought that skin thicknesses were a few microns more than it seems.
Be happy! Pete is only trying to encourage the sharing of our small sporting community. Nothing else.

I might stick to curcuit racing ... (when I finish my car that is )
