I'll agree to disagree on the swastika part, in the context it's clearly a stylized nazi swastika in my eyes.
Here's a tidbit of history, the cog is most probably derived from the emblem for the DAF, or german labor front, the organisation which replaced the trade unions after hitlers rise to power.

Nothing wrong with VW having a bit of nazi history, but I was just questioning whether you want to slap it all over our cars. There may be a reason why they didn't continue to use that emblem! :dork:

Paint some hippie flowers on your hubcaps, that's a much more positive image  Or go the full hog with the hate bus look, albiet slammed..

What about a flying Buddhist monks emblem?

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

I would avoid that if you can. The flying monk thing is very much out of favor at the moment.

Probably a set of contraversial moon discs, with the old country women's association complaining about the resemblance to royal doulton stainless steel series cookware.

I tend to agree with Owen. Though the caps may not relate to the Nazi symbol I think there are people that would associate them with it. Owen made the point in case of potential damage to your car or people making sly remarks. I liked the look of them too but decided against them after showing a few friends and the comments were all negative.
