Been slack with updates on this but have done a lot since. She's back on the ground rolling! Wiring is all done, everything seems to work which is a
plus. All of the IRS has been cleaned, painted and installed into the main one from the donor.
Gearbox has been cleaned and installed too, as with starter motor. New wiring etc to this as well. Hand brake sorted and adjusted. All cables are now
in too which is good.
Windows are all in, panels all on. Interior almost there. Working on the dash at the moment. Considering recovering, found some vinyl that appears to
look exactly the same as the original but will play around with this.
Sorted out both doors too, windows were not sliding right so replaced the reg / sliders. New door handles too
Currently working on the engine at the moment. Pulled it apart but didn't split the case. Drove fine was just leaking so wanted to sort that out.
Grabbed a german gasket / seal kit and have begun cleaning and reinstalling.
After the engine I need to sort out the brakes and paint the boot area. Then it should be ready for RWC. After that I can start having some fun. Here
are some pics..
On the ground again moving! with a push ha

Looking good- great work.
Can you tell me how difficult it was to remove the fan housing? I have removed all bolts on mine but can't split the housing to remove fan the front
half to get the fan off. I think the dowels seem to be binding. It feels fragile so idont want to force it.
Also, is there a trick to removing the fan- is a puller required or will it simply slide off?

Cheers mate, a local guy I found on gumtree. Old guy who wholesales to all the trimmers. Really cheap. Only issue is, is it's near impossible to wrap
the dash in one. Around the gauges are a nightmare.

Fan housing seemed fairly straight forward I thought. The fan I screwed two bolts into the front of it, there were two threaded holes. This pushed it
out.

Last of the rust repairs.. PITA spot to deal with around grills.. sanding / dremel was tricky.
Primer surfacer on, will leave it primered. One day I will do a full respray but for now the rough / rat/ burnt look ha

Paint in the boot is on and I have started to carpet the boot area with a very similar carpet I found to the rest of the car.
Almost engine in time!
