:( I might not be able to make it, it all depends on what time the man gets home from work and whether he fixes my handbrake for me when he gets home :(
eeeekkk!

HAHA ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
Found the problem! I had blocked the crankcase breather hose connection with a bit of rag, hadn't taken it out :duh
Seems to be fine now. I'm going to drive down to the servo to get some juice and air. Hopefully no more issues.

So you guys reckon the route is ok?

I'm amped too! - gave da bug a tune and hopefully a change of oil too! Hopefully some of this cloud will burn away for a nice clear sunset..

Seems good now, I had the timing a bit too advanced, backed it off, has more power now.
Still running a little too hot. Making progress though :)

take ya deck lid off! If you got oil leakingont ya exhaust, it can seem like it's running hot coz it's just burning the oil.. Good to hear it's on its way though..

I have hoodjax and a pair of standoffs but I have never fitted either.
I should nip down to bunnings and get the long bolts so that I can use the standoffs.

noooooooooo! if it's just your hand brake, you don't really it, just park it in gear! If it's only the handbrake issue - you should still come! perhaps we can have a look at it at Maccas?

Bugger.... wanted to go, but had a big night last night and am sooooo tired. When I remembered that today is Wednesday, not Tuesday like I thought all day (thanx to Egeworks SMS! :kiss) it was already past 6:45pm. I know I could have met up with you along the route, but I didn't think it wise to drive about on 4 hours sleep.....

.... so can we go on another cruise soon....? I wanna take sunset photos!:fakesniff:

yeah, we'll have to have another one soon!! One that I can actually go on too :(
it seems that the left rear brake adjuster is jammed on my car, wont budge....it's apparently a three person job, so we need at least one other person here when we attack it again :S

Hope you guys had fun though!!!

We had a good time. There was a bit of concern at the beginning with two water pumpers, and our super beetle. It looked like the water was going to have a good show, then four more aircooled beetles turned up. Giving a total of one Golf GTI, One NB Cabrio and five old beetles of various ages.

We went to Bayswater Maccas :(
Lots of "fully sick" rides there, yeah right....
Heard a few burnouts, not too eventful there though.

Went down Sheffield Rd on the way there, got some serious g forces down one big hill, totally unexpected with all the fumes I had inhaled.
