The best way to get across Eli creek is at 90klicks and airborne! My mate nearly ripped the shitbar off out of the dash. T'was funny after the event.

Not at Eli creek, but down to the axles while duning on Fraser Island.

Well all you will be happy to know I go to fraser every year and take great pleasure in helping people out of sticky situations. We sit at idian head for a bit watch the tourists go through if anyone gets really stuck we come down and help out.

So if you are in trouble look out for a green pajero, more that happy to help

Almost a waste of time sitting there in a VW offering help to peeps stuck in 4WD's. 85% of the time they will not accept it out of principle that you are not a 4WD and they think you will get stuck trying to get them out. My cousins are always happy to offer smart comments and sit and drink the day away laughing at others misfortunes who refues the help. Oh and of course I am the nominated driver to get back to camp and I'm the only one who doesn't drink!!

OK i'm sorry I'm digging this one up again but I have an answer on if the picture of the Toyota surf is real. Well I'm looking throught an old 4WD Monthly magazine(2005) at my Dr' surgery when there it is. Two photos one just after it's been pulled out and one of them shoveling sand out the back of it.
