hi craig, what condition was the case of the engine that those heads etc came from, in?
just wondering how 36hp cases handle high rpm.

also any idea if it was a late (58 on?) or early (pre 57?) case?

thanks.

henry.

That engine went to 7000rpm all day, the case was OK but the counterweighted crank was cracked to buggery.

No idea of year.

Thats sweetas Mister Torrens... Im diggin' that 'fivefour', but I do think it should go a little lower... Slam the 58 fursur, but dump the 'fivefour' Panamerica style... Goes hand in hand with vintage performance set-ups IMHO.... Make a nice little mover for vintage/classic rally events.... Do you guys have any 'round the house's' events over there?

Guys Craig took me for a blast in this today. It pulls very well indeed - nice bit of induction too. The amount of torque over my standard 36hp is quite noticable.

Bugger the scrounge for big bucks and high hp - going old school and squeezing that extra single digit hp out is the go!

looking at in2vw's site it would have to be Clayton Green, no idea if this was the australian name for Reed Green?
