I also know that they rarely discount (would you if you were only making 4% on it?), it's much harder to buy software for them and the cost of repairs is high.

Not so, Apple offer 10% Educational/Student discount. No discount is good as they hold value and it does not get into a price war. You know what you will pay and not see it in Dick Smith the next day for less.

Not harder to buy software ... 90% of the worlds creative product is made on a MAC. Mac runs anything XP, cause it can run XP. Cost of repairs is not higher, simply because they are more reliable - they build them to last 5 years, which is the average time a Mac User has one.

I run a network with 900 PCs//Laptops and Macs. Last year I repaired NO macs, but pensioned off 80 PCs less than 4 years old as they simply can't run later versions of software from people like Adobe at a decent pace.

Sorry to burst yer bubble.

they also offer a govt discount which is the same as the education but also comes with the extended warranty. also ive never broken one beyond being fixed and thats saying a lot about the macs. ive seen them dropped down steel steps and even been folded in half ( not the way they are suppose to be ether) and they still have been fixed
