tuff914 - although I didn't get to the show to see it, I reckon most would see your 914 as more than welcome. As to why you'd take it to the show...
hell if I had a 914, I'd take it to every VW and Porsche show that I had the time for !!!
Cool pics Wes, and man that new turbo on Aaron's kombi is just Huuuuuuuge !!! Is it just me, or does the old dude checking out Leon's trike have
wheelie bars fitted (first photo) ??? Maybe he's scoping the competition for Warwick....

I took my niece to the VW show, it was her first car show ever (she didn't know what a car show was, and she's 15!). We were both giggling at the
old dude checking out Leon's trike, thinking it would get him down to the local RSL much faster

I'd personally love to see old 356's and 914's at a Vw show. I'd love to won a 914 and have the cash to bomb the hell out of it with a nice big
2.8L with all the goodies to hit the track and then a have a stocko one as well.
did anybody see the imaculate silver 365 at Klub fest in june?? I for one was drooling along with a lot of other people.....

Hi John,
I certainly enjoyd seeing it there, and had a good look at yours, I have always liked them.
As a 411 owner, it's also a bit of an outcast, many VW enthusiasts wouldn't even recognise it.
I was there in the kombi instead

are'nt that many around and I thought some one may enjoy having a poke around it. Also the action day flyer had a picture of a 911 on it( help me out
here, the yellow car, can any one else see it, anyone.........). I appologise to those who I upset/offended that was not my intention, I am truly
sorry.
If I may, even though it's been touched on above, the cars DNA
Body built at Karmann factory, same one as Karmann Ghia's (I can prove this as they both rust at exactly the same rate)
VW type IV (modified) motor similar to KOMBI
VW brakes VW wheels VW Switches (lights wipers ignition etc) VW idiot lights.
Porsche gearbox front suspension speedo and tacho.
So where does it belong, Porsche guys think w#*nker in a VW, VW guys think w@*nker in a porsche, maybe i am a w@*nker but you know I like the car
and I can live with that.
I really enjoyed the show, loved all the cars and look forward to next year, maybe just as a spectator.
If this one has no cred here, maybe my past cars will get me out of trouble, 60's bug, 60's baja, 71 beetle, 77 Kombi Camper
Thanks for letting me rant
cheers
John
ps this is my second attempt at this post if it appears twice sorry for that as well

I would like to see more of the other makes Like Porsche,Audi etc come to the shows so that we can have a class for them as well as they are or were
part of the VW family which in turn makes a bit more money for the club putting the show on so next years is bigger and better.
This is what I think right or wrong.

i think there should be an allll vw area, and only cars with stickers judged. it was a shame too see so many reallllly good vw's not in the show
area.

Man that looked like a wicked show why oh why did I have to have the
flu/gastro????
Love the 914. reminds me a little of early 70's fiat something or others but cool car anyway you want to look at it.
there was a whole bunch of 356's up at Birches, Mt Mee last weekend. Just went for a drive and came across them. Bloody marvelous but no camera on me
plus an old bently too I think
I think the early Porsches can be seen as VW cos of there similarities or development. All good at the end of the day cos they look lovely and who
wouldn't want one
madness is in the eye of the beholder
