There are a few of us in Sydney that are aware of projects under way. Pictures and info haven't posted by the owners as they are busy working on
there builds. I know that the owner of the car in this post as well as others are more than happy to do there own thing. They are building their car,
their way and in their time frame. They are not attempting any secret squirrel stuff they would just like to enjoy their build and having a debut of
the car that is a surprise for people.

Hey all...
Quick update. I have finally been able to get a machine shop to properly fold a radius onto some sheet alloy so I can make some running boards. As
simple as that might sound, its been bloody hard to try and get it done in Cairns. Between being promised "yeah sure we can do it", waiting a week
to not still not have them done, and finally having them done but with a 90 degree bend instead of a radius, oh... and then being over charged for
something I didnt want... well you get the idea.
In the end, a machine shop had the better tools to do the job than the sheet metal places... go figure. So I picked them up this afternoon and set
about making my wide ass running boards/stone deflectors.
The plan is that they will bolt to the guards front and rear with 10mm bolts, and to the 90 degree angle 40x20x3mm (that you cant see) with some 6mm
button head stainless bolts.
They arent going to be level either. I am angling them down to the road, from the sill at an angle of around 25-30 degrees, to help give the car a
lower appearance and tie them into the lower edges of the aero guards a little better.
Once im happy with the fitment, they come off to be powder coated in gloss black to match the headlight trim and taillight trim. The stainless bolts
wont be painted.
Im thinking of getting some stickers made up for them with a German skull and cross bones in a WW2 hat, and "Do Not Step"
written under it... to keep away feet.

This is part of a comment that I made in 2008 on this forum in regard to another drag car being built at the time
I think it is still relevant now:
* Some people are more interested in just doing (building) it and not talking about it untill it is finished (if at all)
* Some people just seem to want to talk about it and never have an interest in actually doing (building) it
* The remainder have the ability to do both (build it and talk about it)
-each of the above deserves respect (for their decisions)-

brennden,you picked it one ,the car is the same as big rodgers.
went to the states to buy it but he is going to race it again soon(wife gave him a hard time over not selling it to her)
but agreed on us copying the paint. it is amazing with all the experts on this forum only you &pete page twigged to it
As far as pulling the photos,if the owner is not asked it is his perogative to tell the photographer to pull them and not
have to explain to anybody his reasons why,so to the sooks who posted your displeasure, suck it up princess
