Stoked to see 10 dakdaks entered.
The current entrant list still isn't quite up to date. Hopefully there might be another couple in the 20 or more entries that aren't on the list.
Churchill isn't the only Top Doorslammer entered either. So those who were disappointed last weekend witht he doorslammers being postponed. You'll
see the best doorslammers with pre 75 body styles at DOTD.
Entries open until Wednesday afternoon.
Hopefully a few VWs can make it into the top 16 on Saturday... and be invited back for a top 16 showdown on Sunday!
Also on Sunday there will be a HAMBster Slammer race for charity with Fabbieti, Misfud, Dupond, and Gatt at the wheel best of four
rounds in the HAMBsters

This year we have done a number of things differently, with a goal of offering more to all who want to share in our event, whether that be as a racer
or a spectator. A new feature we're including is the Sunday’s activities, with a number of elements to make the day special, is the “HAMBster
Slammer” race.
This will be a 4 round race event featuring Fabbietti, Mifsud, Dupond and Gatt, racing HAMBsters, with a raffle for spectators to pick the winner, and
go in a draw to win a limo ride to Gemelle Ristorante Italiano at Liverpool (thanks to ‘Pure Limousines’ and Sam Sofi, see websites below), with a
dinner for 4 people included. The total prize value is $900.

Congratulations to Matt Sherwood and the boys and girls for organising a great event. Both days were fun with some great racing. I hope the event
grows and i cant wait for the next one. It was also great to see the VWs supporting the event and upsetting some of the v8's.
The Blue & white supercharged bug did manage to get 7 passes in on Sunday. We got to see a lot more of the track than expected, It was good to see
matt's reflexes haven't diminished any.
With no great ET's to mention (11.560 was the best) we got plenty of time in the car and data. A personal best mph was definitely a highlight with
128.81 mph seeing my first 200+ km/h pass.
Slowly creeping up on things and getting more comfortable in the car will get the ET's down.
A big thank you to all the guys from the CBB Racing Crew that turned up to help and support me. Its not a car that i can run by myself and your help
is always appreciated.

The kombi was very popular with the togs. Hope no one else got the flame out the exhaust shot that I fluked. That is one stout bus Steve.

Don't know about reflexes... I didn't move, regardless of what Rusty said over the PA. Mike does owe me a pair of undies though. Had I been standing
there when the doorslammer met the wall I would have moved!
Many thanks to all the competitors and spectators. It was great to see so many VWs out there and they were very well received. Your support was much
appreciated and there will continue to be an exception for German origin cars in future DOTD events (even if a few Japs did manage to sneak in).
I'm buggered... it's been a long couple of days. Some pics up soon. Once again, thank you to everyone for their support.

Henry... I must apologise, I was on the wrong side of the track for all your passes. I only got one across the track shot of you.
Folks... someone needs to come out and crew for Henry. It's easy to spot someone come through the tunnel ahead of the car and have some warning that
it is time to swap sides.

Matt,Thanks again to Joseph and yourself for allowing me to be part of a great event.
Secondly, No need to apologise regarding pictures, I've got something better than pictures and it's sitting in the garage half undressed with the
rear wheels jacked up!!
As to crew, .........nah! One of the reasons for building and running the car was to give me some exercise (mental and physical) Random help?-
yes.... (Thanks Macca) Organised crew? - not at this stage. The car runs so easy, crew will have nothing to do except walk through the tunnel
My demise in the 1st Round was caused by a secret squirrel issue that will be made public upon my giving up Drag Racing (something or someone went
haywire)

My best was 12.5 @105 on my last pass in grudge racing.Bombed out in the first round (left it in 2nd gear after the burnout) . Thanks to Matt and co for the great event, Also Morgan , Craig and
