Ben Ford made a quickest pass of 11.8 and a top speed of 113mph . He made 5 passes and the car runs strong .... now time to put some boost into it

After frying the clutch on the 1st run in my turbo oval the weekend before at Day of the drags , I didnt have the time or patience to do the necessary
preparation to get my oval to the Jamboree , so I change classes to All Motor and took my son Deans bug out for a run .
This is the bug that Dean restored for his HSC design & tech project last year . At the age of 17 he decided to restore this bug and 9 months
later at the age of 18 had this beautiful bug to cruise the streets with ( the envy of many of his class mates ). The bug is powered by a WPVW
prepared 2733ml type-4 twin weber engine .
The bug goes really well , but as you will see in the video attached I pulled the hockey stick from the selectors on the first run..... I couldnt fix
it on the day , but many thanks go to Steve & Adrian Muller for their efforts in trying and once again to Henry for the lone of tools
required......

the engine that broke was the 2771 type-4 (80 x 105) with the scat split heads that Steve Muller was running in his ratbus . It broke No-2 piston ,
smashing the barrel & case & pushrod tubes with it . Hopefully Steve can repair it without too much trouble .
I do have spare 105mm pistons and barrels if you need them Steve .

I feel relieved because Steve Muller offered me the next drive in his splitty ratbus , insisting that I should take it for a run down the strip , and
I respectfully declined his offer and then he done this to the engine ...... if it was me driving I would have felt bloody aweful instead of plain
piss-off !! what a relief............

yes thats where was no2 piston used to go.....at this early stage looks to be a valve collets let go allowing the valve to have interment activity
with the piston then they both decided to get out of bed....thats motor racing and the best way to learn, the dwell angle and possible ring gaps are
another possible reason for failure...its a 105mm bore and 80mm stroke and 3 million pieces of piston
