Glad everyone had a great time and some great results.
But Steve (1303Steve) you make VW's sound like they are very unreliable. What have I got myself into building one and I still haven't even driven
one on the road yet. Am I

We also had a great weekend no drama's car ran smooth all day Sat with the new front beam, tyres & quick shift. I did 5 x 9.7 sec at 70mph
passes
And on Sun had 4 practice runs all good car still going very well, until finals and I stuffed up I red lit 2 wins and broke out as well but car ran
great all week end
had 13 runs all up.
pics & vids soon
Can't wait till Feb at Sydney not far for us to go drag racing it should be huge.

Hi All,
I had 11 passes for the weekend all in the mid 7,s best was 7.54 @ 92 mph. I had a lot of trouble hooking up in the 60ft but was running well down
the last 330ft and on. Track was cold but the air was very good all day.
It was the best Warwick that I have been to as I broke nothing this year managed to make it to the top shootout, run in all the finals and drove the
car onto the trailer at the end of the day.
Having a few drinks at Dubbo this evening and will be home tomorrow night. Fantastic to catch up with you racers aging see you all at Sydney in Feb.
Thank to all my crew and the organizers for a great week ends racing.

What a fantastic weekend.
What a great weekend. You don't need good weather or an 8 second car to have fun at the Warwick weekend. Well done Craig for putting it on and to all
the competitors whose well presented and very fast cars make it an exciting spectacle.
I didn't do many passes in my oval. I vowed to spend more time watching from the stands than the dummy grid this year. The little car with it's new
IDA set up and taller gearing ran faultlessly from Sydney and back with a best of 9:64@ 72.9 mph. Maybe I've chased away the gremlins that have been
plaguing me this year (or passed them on to the Carters).
I put together a small blog about the event on the ADVAN wheels website with a dozen or so pictures for anyone who is interested in the tales I
tell.

Hi CT great write up and pics!
Sorry we did not get a chance to stop for a chat.
Actually that race with Henry was a lot of fun,
even though I lost due to a break out by only .013 seconds.
In fact it was probably one of my most enjoyable runs in 20plus years of driving this car.
Our reactions were
HS: .488, DB: .448
ET's:
HS: 7.521 on a 7.49 dial
DB: 7.037 on a 7.05 dial
I reckon between us there are over 50 years of racing VWs.

I swear half the crowd on the grand stand stood up when you two lined up.
I walked past your car about 20 times and didn't see you. I even looked to see if there were legs poking out from under it. I saw somebody in a
helmet race your car down the strip a few times (The Stig of VW drag racing perhaps?). I was even told, in great detail, what your muffins tasted
like. But I never saw you.
Oh well see you next year. Or in Sydney : )

Acually Guy, a lot of people commented to me how fast your water pumper was...and the only waterpumper in the "top VW Shootout", so thumbs up from
me!!.
I am sure more vids and pics will filter through as everyone arrives home.
