Things like that shouldn't even be spoken about in Jest!

Finally got around to gettin the body from dads to start.. In between nappys an spews..
finally started the body, on the rotisserie
pin holes through the drivers side channel
fixed
had to make a new captive nut
good thing they invented grinders..
and done. its not a show car so the patches are good enough for me!!!
passenger side was paper thin an full of holes
a beautiful rust free fatty door
mmmm cut
mmmm patch
thanks fatty
more patches from fatty to come...
hole in roof? what hole?
bit of cuttin an welding, no bog or filler will be used either.. yay
had to patch the front from it rusting through
top of passenger heater channel
patched with the carpet holder ready
trial fit the panels just to make sure all works
bolted rear guards to check rear apron.
was rooted so off it comes
trial fit
need to trim an tack in place after check an recheck...

finally got around to getting the valance done, taking back the bog revealed more surprises, so a bit more welding. i dont understand why someone
would go to all the trouble to repair a panel then fill the rust holes with bog. not that hard to put a plate in..
oh well.
bare metal
red oxide
so finally all the major metal work is done. but its that time when i have to go back to work, so the toys go away again.
bit tight on space now, so only one thing to do...
couldnt help myself..
now to wait 5 weeks till i can work on it again. damn

Hey Dion, looking good. Your engine bay almost looks as full as mine. Haven't been on for a while. Been real busy. I will update mine with some pics
of what I doing with mine soon.

Oh my! That looks so sweet!
What are you doing with the sections you've repaired? Leaving it red oxide, or are you going to try and blend it?

Prob leave red oxide for now. Was thinkin of blending, but would prob look a bit odd, it already looks odd with the one rear quarter with paint on it,
the joys of a cover that worked. Once. Haha

How did you go getting that metallic orange paint you were asking me about? I also spoke with the guys in the states for you... They said your custom
flame design rims can't be made in 24" only 22" do you still want them? This rusty wreck will be gleaming then!

little more 2day. heaps of niggly stuff that took ages and Mia even helped out.
had to disassemble the engine cause some dick (me) forgot the oil baffle plate in the generator stand..
got the body on the pan, lined up the holes, tightened up one of the passenger side heater channels only to have it pull the captive nut out of the
channel. so back to cutting and welding again 2moro..
damn that sux..
