My first trip to the track was in a 1200 bug that ran 21 sec...very slow but good fun.
I bet people were laughing, but who cares, gotta start somewhere.

As I put in one of the many other posts about this inaugural event:
A good mate of mine is getting married that weekend. Had to make up a bullshit excuse other than going to a volksie drag weekend.
Wife not particularly happy with the decision. Look on the bright side i said your rid of me and the three boys for the weekend......
There's a slim chance the tight arse Tuesday 1641 turbo might be there....fingers crossed.
