Cheers for that! I love it when people start linking my site, saves me doing it, especially when its posted on that many forums that I forget some!
Linking to the slideshow has also made me aware of a problem i didnt know existed, might have to get that sorted soon!

well represented.Seeing Mike's low six was very rewading to watch & a testament to his persistence.Rod aka Ned
Kelly 6.41 on a 6.4 was a good calculation for a thief !!!The Dog's engine I found had been chained up with the
limiter indicator on 8,400 & the engine cutting spark @8k. On my last run I got game and looked at the tacho as it
went flat in 3rd.It has been a wonder with the numbers being down for its power but has given the old fellow some
bum in it time.Have a go at this immaculate Mitso buggy..Regards-Ross.
| Thanks Dog, and thanks to all those that went this year and for those with pics and vid too.
All week end I was wishing I was there, even at Dubs by the Pub run, I was still at the Portland track in my head, gotta say the drive wasn't so
tedious this year .
Dog I also must say those buggies are awsome having done a few laps at last years event. Hence I fully plan to be there next year, in the sand AND on
the drag strip .
Andrew must be a happy camper with what you could call top billing in the photo dept. Man he's got that little engine doing the stuff....and wheelies
will always get the cameras clicking. Well done mate.

Cheers Matt, yep i'm a happy camper! Car ran perfect all weekend with all runs between 8.53 and 8.27 at 80-82mph. Unfortunately the ring and pinion
was not sounding so good after the 4th run on sun. so that will need attention....again My driving was pretty bad though, with some very poor reaction times and two reds for the w.end!
Thanks everyone for the photos and Chris for that awsome vid. My motor sounds a bit sick in slo mo, can we see it in normal speed too??
Was a super w.end and was great to see so many veedubbers having a good time. Thanks to all who had any part in making this event happen. |

Hi !! All !! , well great trip over all , even after a little red light in final (- .029) . Can not thank everyone enough that came along to crew and
Vwma , vw Australia , Westside Mufflers , Dangerous Dave Engineering , Rod Richardson for helping me to attend this year event .
Was not going to attend this year as I'm fixing up our house so after being invited , we had less then 2weeks to be race ready .
My engine wasn't ready so Rod step up with is from his 48ida bug (11.47sec all steel)
His engine (more power) , less weight (No dry sump , nitrous equipment ) had me excited for a good et from my car.
Car really like the extra power on tap , layed back on wheelie bars , good burnouts , felt real smooth to.
After Sunday morning test & tune run , we had a hard clutch peddle so motor was pulled out and found clutch plate was loose . Fix just in time as
first round was called to start line .
Won all rounds of racing (4 wins) so was very happy with car going into final against Rod Penrose .
Car seemed to roll while waiting for green light ,then red lighted my race away ( I still won to the other end of track :smilegrin

Cheers Matt....
Here's some more....
Friday night we went out a little late and only caught a couple of the V8's cooking their cars.... As you can see, this one seems to have caught
alight!!!
The next morning I slept in, so missed the cruise.... But I did catch the cars at the waterfront....
Spotted this one pretty quick... Sorta stood out from the crowd....
And this Victorian Fatty looked pretty tough!!!.... Nick and George have some pretty tough customer cars!!!!
Doc's been busy...
And I'm sure you know the rest....
See Craig.... Brian really was working.... Honest!
The wheelie beast at rest....
Later that day....
Woof!
Mister Kelly?
But whats with that wheel?
Racing anyone?
Yeah.... It's porn....
My favourite car of the weekend....
More action...
In the pits...
Nick holding court...
Later that evening...
Sunday...
Broken.... Sorta...
Him too....
Andrew getting high!
Heading back to Radilaide...
Done....

There really is some awesome photography there Chris!
So much information available if you look closely.
These guys could do with some stiffer tortion bars.
This is one reason axles break.
Also note how most squat down more on the drivers side.
Is that the side that most of you guys broke axles on?

It was great to finally meet you guys.... And get to see the toys you guys have.... Shame the weekend didn't go so well for you, but my god those
cars have some poke!!! I have another pic of you
I can post instead if you like?... Funny you should mention some boost for the Rag.... I took Pat (the owner) for a blast in my car a few weeks back
(when he visited WA) and I think he got the message.... It might happen!.... On that note.... I took the POS out for a spin today and got a Defect
Notice from the local plod... That's the second time in 20 months!!!!
