People have used the Deutz cylinders on type one aftermarket engines,(pauter, scat, autocraft, arpm and autolinea and converted wasser),
but pobably the largest size you would ever want to go would be 103mm or so.(case bored to about 107mm, head 110 to 111)
If you wanted to use a very long rod, and just sit the barrel on a very shallow step at the case you could fit as large as 105mm,
but that is just greedy on a type 1, he he.
yeah Dave, that would be very greedy on a type 1, I'm thinking of messing around with a type 4 eg. 86 x 101.6 - 107, the Deutz are so long they would
need a bit of machining.
a lot depends on the combo regarding forced or n/a, I have two sets of heads opened up to 105mm which brings me to the question of using the hemi
heads for turbo, has anyone done this with good results?
