Love a bit of flange play but no, alas, didn't get out there. Full week this week then NZ for a week so it will be a few weekends till we get back out there.

I'm in the same boat as Camo, mine is swing axle. I seem to remember seeing a car in a magazine a few years ago that had an IRS transmission with u-bolt joints instead of CV joints. The axles were custom made and the car was still swing axle because there were no outward joints on the axles. It was no doubt an expensive thing to make. I think that I'll probably go with the IRS Conversion when it comes time for a new transmission.
