Bit of a non event day, small things were time consuming. But happy with the results anyway..
Engine finally set up, choke cable extension, Fram, MMO an all wiring done an ready to fire up once again.
Got better brakes on it so had to make up a bracket for the dual resovior can be accessed through the round window (steering box access plate) made it
so it bolted onto the dual brake cylinder, no holes drilled!!
2moro hopefully have all the little stuff done.. Hopefully.

I absolutely love this car!!!
You have done such a fantastic job building it up. It oozes patina and style.
Keep up the great work, it's brilliant!

Tank an tyre, check.
Now for round 2 of the windscreen..
Ratchet strap an some wood..
Final result,
Dion 1 windscreen 0. Technically it should be windscreen 1 as well, but I don't want to give it the joy of thinkin it defeated me..
Lets just say after the hours of getting frustrated the other day, I made it my bitch 2day.

So here I am happy as Larry,
-taken Mia for her morning walk, check
-muffin an triple shot, check
-checked the surf, check
-bowel movement from coffee, double check..
Then the phone.. U fly out this arvo at 5.
Mad rush to tidy up the yard, push cars here an there sort tools an make tidy..
So no work or updates for a couple of weeks..
But here's a little teaser
I've come to face the facts, money was runnin low and reality set in an made me realize I need to go back. U can't live on love an dreams...

Hey Dion, looking awesome.
Looking forward to see how the interior turns out. I think you should get some old wheels and bury them for a bit and let them decay.
Keep it up,

engine was running like a bag of shit, checked an rechecked everything, then the prob was found. troubleshooting with people is good, u forget
somethings sometimes. (thanks klaus)
the culprit
cleaned an ran beautiful again..
changed the distributor thinkin that it could of also been a problem. no vacuum advance now but an early centrifugal advance one.
All lights and wiring, done.
original door cards and rubber mats, done
finally got around to modifying the bracket for the cruiser pedal. bit of dilly dallying but all good an works a treat, no more sore foot from the
roller.
greased the tracks, an in went the seats. not the right color, ill search for them still.
got the rust free decklid off bens oval for rego, then the yellow one will go back on.
would love a ratty horizon blue one tho to match the car if someone has one, give it up now!!!
ill see how i go with no carpet for rego, if he says i need it so be it. but for now ill run as is!! got to organize rego check soon..

so been test driving it to fine tune it up an down the street, and have a small problem.
the hubcap keeps comin off. fuck losing them.. so fix the problem
feeling lazy, i took the rim an new clips to an engineer to see if they could put them in, they had no idea about it, there is a special rivet tool,
but i didnt want to pay XX amount for it. so back to metalwork basics an made my own tool.
a simple bolt
drill a recess an grind a section
and voila!! a rivet/clip holder.
prop the tyre an rim over the clip an rivet, beat with a hammer an no more lost caps..
