just a brief back ground I m in the UK right now but looking to move over to Australia once my visa is all sorted and I was thinking of buying a split
here restoring it and then bringing it with me. I m even going to look at an OZ import I may bring back, HOWEVER I m a little daunted by the
importation process and don't like the idea of spending out on a resto only to find it getting locked up in customs for some insane red tape
reason.
So call this a crazy idea that came to me while reading this thread but what are the chances of me finding a resto project and having it restored in
australia ready(ish) for my arrival?
I've already seen some restorers work in OZ and I m impressed very impressed.
I want a splitscreen as a promotional bus for work I m a tradesman, what I want is a crewcab, if I can't find one then either a single cab or panel.
I'd prefer a crew cab over all else since I can't afford to run two cars and then I can fit my new VW friends in it at the weekend
Care to help out?

many, many companies/dudes that can do a spectacular resto on your chosen bus........just wondering how much $$$ YOU are expecting a dually to cost,
then restore?

I don't know the costs of a crew cab in OZ, I have seen a LHD for sale in OZ that says its complete and ready to drive the photos look promising and
thats up for $23,000.
I would need some input from you guys to give me a rough idea of what I could pick one up for, it would be difficult to compare UK prices since many
are shipped from overseas needing restoration and thats not a good comparison to work from.
what can I expect to pick one up for to restore you tell me...

Only problem is it's a LHD import. You could just have it converted.
