Hi guys
car held together on dyno sounds pretty sweet
Our pushrods didn't show up in time so we had to use some shitty
35 thou wall peices of crap
So we couldn't rev it past 6000 it made 210 rwhp at that rpm
So not to bad considering were on our way well do some tuning up
There see you soon

Junka just didn't want to play this weekend!! Anything that could remotely go wrong did!! Pushed the car from our pit bay across the road to scrutineering and punctured a brand new rear slick. Raced all over Warwick to find someone to fix it and finally did!! Back to track and ready to go then storm hit and wiped out quick shades. Cut them up with the grinder and threw them in the bin. So Sunday rolled around and we were ready to go. Got the car started after it didn't really want to and it made it to the staging lanes. Started it again and pre stage burnout was ok then up to line and it stopped. Tried to start it and wouldn't even turn over. Westi will pull it apart when the boys return home to see what it is.

First thought's were of a bearing issue. Or even a clearance issue. Due to all the late nights the only thing that is constant is human error. So you Would think.
Doing some check's . On old bearings and lifters from the engine that has been in the car for over 3 years.
They tell me luck was on my side.
When the rollers are passing through there motions they have a spot were they bleed of alot of oil.
Since most of the oil pressure checks are always done at the front o the block and not at the rear . I am going to assume this is what has caused the problem.
You don't lose pressure all together but you don't supply enough were it counts.
Next problem is . If it was that simple ,then is it worth stepping up to bigger gear or staying with what I have.
Any info or suggestions would be appreciated .

I wish it was that simple.
Human error I can live with.I admit I don't know everything.but if you can learn something new everyday.that's a bonus.
I think that luck has been on my side. The issue with oil is one that should have presented itself before. When I first changed to roller litters.
I will take it all as a good knock on the chin and a wake up call to leave nothing to chance.
So far it's an easy fix.
Just got to do some more home work and parts chasing.
I have set up an old block and will now do some flow testing with the oil.
I let you guy's know how it goes.

Hi JVL

Is that a stating the bleeding obvious comment?

Brad runs an extremely popular business and is in demand from some of the top modified car builders in the country.

I drove past his shop many times at ungodly hours leading up to Warwick and saw his daily driver out the front, I'm sure that his family would have preferred that he be at home with them and he would have as well.

If racers didn't push the envelope to get things done we would have had a very boring Warwick meeting.

Drink more Coke westi.

I know your still smiling brad cause at least you didn't pay someone to screw up your stuff!C.L.A rule number one do it yourself cause you can eff it for free.Between dyno day and last weekend I built my motor had it in and out 3 or more times and an easy 50 hours screwing around with it.Brad I suspect you like me will be doing some "gearbox testing" when all the planners align.
