VIDEO IS UP
Ok a video is up.
the footage I had was not that greatest and I'm not a computer geek so go easy on me.
for the dial up people it might be a waste of time.
The video is of some cruising around with a few squirts. The only safe run I get is short shifting 2nd.This is in the early stages of tuning.

Is that data log on your microtech saying what I think it says?
8600 RPM 23psi
Also is the MAT of 104 degrees C engine temp and the value next to it air temp (no sensor connected)?
Got to admit it does sound awesome!

Yes I had to move the rev limiter to 9000rpm because it was just bouncing off it at 8500rpm.
no air temp sensor wired and the don't worry about the water temp sensor that is not how hot the engine is it is the way I have plugged it up for
better cold start control.

8680rpm not 9000rpm
I have purchased a Stewart Warner tach with a progressive shift light and a 40 psi boost gauge.
I know it's wank and I didn't want to put things like that in it or spend any money on new stuff for this junka but I get weak sometimes.

It is a Microtech computer with the option of hand controller or laptop.
I am running two 1700cc alcohol injectors staged.
2233cc-84x92 with power sleeve barrels.

Where did you put your temp sensor to allow it to work better for warmup enrichment? I'd tried the sump but it takes too long for the 8 litres of
oil m y 2332 had to come up to temperature. I then moved the sensor to the rocker cover where it will be spashed with warmer oil from the heads. That
seemed to work better, but if the car was shutdown and then restarted within 5 minutes, you would see head temps around the 115-120 degree mark,
because of head soak. Yes it was still mappable at that range though as it did need more fuel because of the heat to maintain a propper idle.
I know a guy in the US that runs a head and a sump sensor and has them wired together some how, and the ecu uses both through a single water temp
sensor to sort out what to do with warm ups.
Anyway... i'd be interested to know your approach.
Cheers,

While researching my MS ECU purchase, I have seen some peeps on Shoptalk that run the temp sensor in the air flow under the head (sorta where the
thermostat sits).... Granted, it sounds weird.... I asked the question, "Its a standard GM water temp sender right?".... But it seems to work for
them....

Love the way the power is delivered so nice and politely in this car..... not
Thats insane, I love it. It is a true old skool turbo style - it sounds like it has a power band like a 2 stroke moto bike !

You don't want to speed up the steering Neil... It will get way too twitchy!.... But a new steering box is a good move.... I had one in the green car
and it was a revelation!.... And that car is loose..... It lighting up the tyres like a mofo!.....:thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb

What Humpty said!
Had the 14" wheel on my turbo bug when it had the 1641 engine in it and that was a handful on occasion. I upgraded to the largest momo wheel I could
get to gear down my twitchy-ness (like that word ) of the steering.

11.12 @ 128.06 mph
I took the junka out to Heathcote yesterday.
After designing a new cam to make the same power but just move the power up the scale a bit so it doesn't just blast the tyres, I ran it in and went
racing.
It seems that I over did it because it fell on it's face just off the launch and then came alive. Back to my cam guy for new one!
After a bog and a 1.89 60ft it went 103.78 mph half track to go 11.12 @ 128.06.
I will get the time card scanned and the video up asap.
