Maybe next time take it to 7500 or 8000rpm to see what the graph does ?

Although it was on its way down with a loss of 5hp at 7000rpm, so I'm not sure why you would hold the throttle any longer !

Hey Reub, you don't need to put any nitty gritty up............let people work it out the hard way and spend the dollars like you have done !!! :punk:

Yeah, I need glasses......or just f'n pay attention !!!!

Plenty of nitty gritty posted already, nice work as always guy's (Reub and db). That curve sure is nice and flat. I have two wedge port engines in the pipeline at the moment, have to see how they compare, one's a 1915 too.

Geez whats happening, everyone is building 69mm x94mm combinations now.............kinda funny considering it wasn't that long ago that everyone was bagging 94's and non "big stroke" motors. ;)

Maybe I should swap my eliminator 2000 heads for some wedges

If its got more at 8000 than when it drops down low for the next gear,
there every reason to rev it there.

I doubt it will Dave, the HP drop off rate is quicker than the actual climb rate.............so if it dropped 5hp in 300rpm, and this drop rate is only going to get quicker, then it would probably produce the same HP at 7300-7500rpm as it would in the mid 4000rpm range.......Like I said though, take it to 7500-8000 on the dyno and find out !!

Congrats again Reubs, at least Darwin now has a potentially quick aircooled VW for the drags

Probably more like a seizing big end bearing......I doubt its a part failure.

Or maybe the piston let go due to the top being machined off it ??
