jeez I am away for a weekend and I get back and there are 2 more pages, and people slinging sh*t left right and center. if this post had any serious replies in it I might get offended :repuke

Peter, yes your valve clearances do different things with chrome moly pushrods. It just means you have to set them to a very small gap cold (cos the clearance gets bigger when the engine warms up).

And for the people here who don't know, I had a 1915 for many years so I think I am entitled to have an opinion on them.

with a budget like that youd get the job may be in defense they can loose mega bucks.:o
Why don't you just buy a jap shit-box and don't promote vw buggery.
That Baja is seriously butchered.

I can't quite figure out what your talking about. "optimistic" for my budget? But I have finished the project, that was my budget!

And since my V6 conversion has pissed you off so much, it reminds me of why I did it in the first place. :vader

There are plenty of people here who like the V6 conversion, and most people can see the reasons why I did it. As for butchery, so making a baja is ok, but putting a different engine in is not. :puke

All these pics form the nationals. There were more turbo cars there but the pics never made it to club veedub website.

Keith Hausler had a very quick turbo oval that was daily driven too.

Just a few to get you started.

chris, I loved seeing your turbo type 3 getting the crap flogged out of it a few years ago at raleigh. I got some video footage of it somewhere, including the big lose down the straight. man that was funny to watch :D

not as entertaining as luke pell in his turbo offroad buggy though :D
