Hi all...
Thankyou for all your support and encouraging comments.
Firstly i am wrapped that the car is now on the track ... Even if it was for only a burnout.
We attended a friday night meet at sydney dragway at short notice as we are still in the final stages of tuning.
The car is being driven by Vick Elfes, the V of cv performance...
Vic drove the car into the burnout area and went through procedures and the car bogged down. We suddenly realised that the burnout limiter was set too
low .
He then switched to race mode and then produced a very strong burnout with the engine sounding strong.from the outside we were happy , but vic had
another story with a warning light of low oil pressure.
A decision was made to take the car back to the pits ...
First thing monday morning i pulled the engine out and then stripped it to reveal signs of poor oiling on number 1 and 3 big ends..
We are currently rectifying this problem as we now run a dry sump and at this stage we have put the problem down to a simple case of setup due to
cavitation.
I have put aside next week to have the car sorted and plan get the car ready for friday before jamboree...

Hi All
I have been busy getting the street car ready for the vw nationals over the weekend.
It was a great day and i enjoyed showing the car.
If any forum members have any photos of my car from the weekend please feel free to post them in this thread .
The race cars new engine has been dummied up for fittment of headers and intake and fortunately it all fits.
I have completed plumbing and today i removed the engine for final stages of build. Tomorrow i will be measuring pushrod length and sending the
pushrods to GD to cut.

Update ... Work will begin again today on the street car, just a little time off after the big push to get the car to the vw nationals.
The race car is coming along nicely too with the pushrods now been cut to length and the piston to valve checked yesterday. The pistons are now at the
machinist and then i will have a final dummy assembly.

Good to here , what happen to race car engine after the burnout ? Sounds like major rebuild there .
Will you be posting lummus forsale parts up on website , so we can see them ? Be good to see them instead
of phoning up .

Hey Peter
Race car engine lost oil pressure ... We were running a new dry sump set up, that enging has been rebuilt and is now in the street dub...
I am building another pauter engine of the same capacity but using later design cylinders and heads... This combo is the new race engine... The idea
being all race program parts will become spares and work in both set ups.
