1964 Beetle - Handbrake Cable length???
Afternoon dubbers,
Just wondering what handbrake cable length I need to buy to suit a 64 beetle as i've snapped the drivers side one. Vollks offers a 68" & 72",
not sure which one I should be getting?
Thank you,
Bones.

neither of those 2
you also need to replace both cables at same time otherwise the old one will break

Ask Vollks, the lengths are odd and there are way more than 2 different sizes. Ring a proper Vee Dub shop to get the right parts. I have a few here
the correct size, $29 German, part # 113 609 721 F. And replace both as suggested.

Thanks very much for the the help everyone, special thanks to matt, the part number will be handy.
There is a shop down this way that is apparently selling german parts etc, will try there. Failing that, I will get in touch with you Matt.
Thank you.
