Rectangular Hazet Tool Kit
I was wondering if anyone can shed some more light on the below particular tool for one of the hazet tool kits. Read a bit on other websites but there
doesn't look like there is much info on this tool. Trying for some local knowledge. Borrowed the pictures from another site (is that allowed)

Hmm... 36mm socket perhaps ???
Looks about the right size from the pics.
Fit it over a 36mm nut (like on the axle or fan), slide through the Tommy bar and away ya go...

From the info I have found it has a 27 mm Id and 32 od. And the tray that it is found in is where you place the tools that came with the car

Is it a small "a" or a large "A" in the Hazet on the tool kit? This will help determine age.

They are large A for the hazet side of things. From what I have read the tool kit replace the round type tool kit and came in around 1970 give or take
a few years. One tray had the Hazet tools and the other plastic tool tray is where you put the car supplied tools in.

The brochure translates as "This liner is designed for the on-board tool located in your car"
So sounds like was definitely for an on-board tool kit... but are even sure it was for VW ???

Top of the tin. Don't know if they also produced the same box for another brand of car and just changed the tin setup
