Sagging right door
The right side door of my VW Beetle (1964 vintage) is sagging slightly.
There doesn't seem to be that much rust in the A pillar. If I can recall - some welding work was done to it - 20 years ago to repair a crack.
But the skin at the bottom of the actual rightside door hinge is slightly buckled.
Is there a good way to fix it? Any suggestions?

Hi
A buckle in the skin usually indicates that door has been opened too far without a check strap fitted

I thnk that is a check strap which is suppose to prevent the door from going too far. But it might be loose or something.
Can the door buckle be fixed?

check strap is no match for strong wind or backing into something while the door is open and not normally breaking the strap.
seen it happen to many times before and results in crooked doors that don't close right.
Its pretty common thing to see on all cars.

easiest way to check is lift the door and see if there is any excessive play.
if there is, its the pins, isn't its got bent somewhere at some stage.
