1988 syncros are very rare in Australia. They only sold a handful so it may be better to convert to later style or get bits from the US.



I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!:lol:

Curious as to where it broke? Would like to know so I can check the radius rods on mine for cracks.

broke where it just starts to thin out before the screwing thread at the adjusting end..lucky I was going in a straight line only sitting on 60 kph.just hit a slight rise over a bridge not even a bump and all of a sudden the steering wheel jumped a quarter of a turn....tow truck time..:td:
