2276 cc Engine

I have a good used engine I have just freshened up and is ready to go . This was a complete going engine before it was pulled apart and the comfiguration has been changed to be more streetable in any beetle or split window kombi . This will not fit into a type 3 or bay window Kombi as you cannot use the rear engine brace . This engine has the following components ;
Vw case bored .020 on the tunnel , opened for 94mm and clearanced for 82mm crank
82mm counterweighted 8 dowelled cast crank , Polished
New 12 volt lightened forged flywheel
New 36mm moly gland nut
New 5.4" I bean conrods with 3/8" ARP bolts
New scat .035 moly pushrods
New 043 CNC ported heads 40 x 35.5mm stainless valves and HD single springs
New roller rockers
New std valve covers and bails
new stainless push rod tubes
New main/rod and dual thrust cam bearings
New rings
Barrels honed
FK 8 camshaft
Fuel pump block off plate
009 dizzy with electronic conversion
Melling 30mm oil pump
Aluminium full flow cover

This engine is located in Wolongong and can be shipped Aust. wide . I would like to get $ 4800 for this freshened up engine with a compression ratio of 8.35:1 . I can also make this a complete turn key engine with your choice of Webbers or Dellorto's if your budget will allow , ROD , 02-42729920 .

Bob , this will fit into your 67 bug . I would suggest some extra cooling vents in the engine lid would be good , all of the extra pieces that you will need are on my website that will be new . I don't keep used parts , however there is some cooling shrouds and tinware here you can have , and a reco set of 40mm Webbers or Dellorto's will be $ 500 including manifolds , linkage and filters , ROD , 02-42729920

This engine is still here and I would like to move it on as I have another shipment of parts landing soon and need the space . I would like to offer this engine with a set of 44mm Webber carbs , linkage and aircleaners for the asking price of the engine alone $ 4800 for the engine and carb kit , ROD .

Paulbangkok , I would expect around 130/140 HP and some good drivability from this engine . The power will depend on how it will be tuned and which dyno it is tuned on . I tend not to over estimate power figures like other tuners , ROD .
