Mk3 Golf Autos


Does any one have any info on what Mk 3 Golf autos are like??

looking at getting one.
Any other suggestions for a cheap auto run around

I'd prefer the manual meself. Thought the auto was a bit gutless unless at least a 2L. 1.6L was woeful.

It's more the point #1 doesn't drive manual even though they got their licence in one

Well by the Mk3 the comfort level had increased so they pretty good to get along with on a day to day basis but I'd seriously try and find one in a dealers so you can go for a test drive to assess if you think it drives how you want it too ;)

Most of them are 2L with some early CLs which were 1.8 and some VR6.




I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!:lol:
