One less competitor at the Club Vee Dub Supersprint
I met a guy who had previously run at the Club Vee Dub Supersprint at Wakefield Park, this is roughly how our conversation went.
Me “hey are you going to have a run the Club Vee Dub Supersprint this year, its coming up in May”
The other guy “I don’t want to run with you guys anymore, it's too dangerous”
Me “what do mean?”
The other guy “well I was my warming tyres up, I had no grip, as you know as it was very cold and this guy in an old Beetle came tearing up behind
me and if I didn't get out the way he would have hit me”
Me, “so he was going quicker than you?
The other guy “I have 169kW at the all 4 wheels so he shouldn't have gone past me”
Me “so did you pay attention at the drivers briefing?”
The other guy “yes"
Me "do you remember being told that if someone faster catches you, you should let them pass you”
The other guy “well I won't run with you guys anymore, I now run with (insert expensive car brand here) they are much more careful out on the
track”
I wonder who the was driving the old Beetle, I think I know, good on him
