QLD - legallity of cutting and boxing rear firewall/luggage area?

Im doing an ej22 conversion + turbo..im placing the turbo at the rear of the car like a hideaway system does for aircooled vw's..but would like some extra room to mount an excel airbox, my water to air intercooler barrel and probably an overflow tank as well.. so my plan is to chop out the entire luggage shelf, and raise the floor a couple of hundered mm.

does anyone know if this can be engineered?

I will be engaging an engineer, but would like to have a proper plan ready to go first

That's how 95% of turbo converted bugs are, as long as the parcrel tray is well braced and sealed off properly you'll be fine.

excellent thanks for that. did you find your aircon condensor affected your radiator temps much? Im using an excel radiator because its what I had laying around, and it seems short enough, but i also want to run the heat exchanger for my water to air setup in front of it
