rear seat frame

Hi A bit confused as my beater has asked me how the rear seat frame works.
As it seems there are only 1 tubed frame at both ends no support across or in the middle.So the seat base seems to sag in the middle
Sorry it is a 1961 dual cab and are the front and rear seat interchangable
If anybody has a 61 dual maybe can I have a picture with the seat removed to see the layout
